So long Oppo, and thanks for all of the entertainment. I’m a relative newb, as I’ve only been commenting here for about a year, but I lurked for a year before that. Oppo’s great, one of the best car places on the web, IMO. Let’s hope we aren’t killed or can move to another format!

People are discussing moving to r/oppositelock or to a taptalk- style forum. I’ll be on oppositewonk and instagram for sure.

We still got 6 months, and even then the new owners will still want to keep the core users whole, so it’s best to get all user sites together in one Cross Thread and clap our hands in harmony, so to speak. We make the best business case by showing the size of the user base. We make our own content, it’s quite valuable, and we fill most every comments section.
We have to unite to matter. Otherwise we can go to Flickr. It has notes.

I’m not a fan of flickr, but it’s better than no Oppo at all.
I also don’t want the gawker and fp trolls over here.
